Aluminium Joining Threshold

The Universal Aluminium Threshold is designed to cover and finish the aluminium connector at the end of an accessibility pathway, providing a smoother transition between the matting and the surrounding surface.

It is most commonly used at the beginning or end of a pathway, helping create an easier transition for wheelchairs, mobility aids, prams and pedestrians when entering or exiting the matting.

ACCESSMAT® sections already include aluminium connectors at each end, allowing multiple mats to be connected directly together to create a continuous pathway. A separate threshold is therefore not required between standard ACCESSMAT® sections, although one can be added to cover and finish an exposed connector where required.

Thresholds can also be used with GRASSMAT® and COCOPATH™ installations and are purchased separately for these products.
